I too remember Skip from Northborough. He and I were in 7th and 8th grade together. We both moved to Westborough to start High School. I always remember him as a superb prankster and he had a way with girls that we all envied.

Gerry Sellar worked for a man named Burt Mason who was a salvage diver. One Christmas while I was home between Advanced Army Infantry Training and Vietnam, Gerry called me and wanted me to help him move diving equipment from an old eastern-rigged dragger (Skatte Jeager) in New London, CT, to an old Navy Minesweeper (Force Five) which was located in Cape May, NJ.
To make a long story short, Gerry and I traveled the distance in a van. We hooked the twin air horns from the Skatte Jeager to a set of aqualungs. We each had our own valve to blow the horns at random, or at some unlucky victims.
The fun part was that we had in the van, twenty-one aqualungs, large tanks of oxygen and acetylene, four-hundred pounds of dynamite, a full roll of Det Cord and the blasting caps in the glove compartment.
In today's world, that would have been pretty risky.

Ask Gerry how we met Burt Mason.

Anyone know where the movie is that Gerry Sellar and I made in around 1965?
We filmed every major game and event at Westboro High School for one year and made a movie that was 1 1/2 hours long. Mr. Mitchell lent us his camera and we went crazy.(he bought all the film too, as far as we know)
Talkative, ain't I?

One time, Tom Bonine and Skip Cole and I went skiing at Killington. We drove a Corvair that belonged to Tom's family up to a remote log cabin down a dirt road. We drove from Westboro during a blizzard in a car known to spin out even on dry pavement. Naturally, it got dark about halfway there; luckily there was no traffic. Even without a license, I drove part of the way. We bought a bag of Dawson beer in 16 ounce brown bottles somewhere along the way.
When we arrived at the cabin, we put our sleeping bags next to the massive stone fireplace and lit a big fire. By the next morning our beer was frozen.
The rest of the story is a glorious day of skiing in our dungarees. Tom of course had shorty skis which were quite novel at the time. Every time we wiped out on the snow we left a blue streak down the slope from our blue jeans.
We passed the flask on the chair lift.
Bring back any memories?

Stephanie and I went to a friend's brand new boat launching last week. Rockland Maine.
